Fall Fun Around the Carolinas

Fall is officially here in the Carolinas! The leaves are changing, temperatures are falling, and it is a great time to soak up some fresh air. If you’re looking for activities to do this fall, check out the list below of amazing places for a day that is sure to be filled with pumpkin spice and everything nice!

 

Hunter Farm

This family-owned farm located in Weddington, NC has it all! From wagon rides to farm animals to your traditional pumpkin patch, there will be no shortage of fun activities for you as you explore. Hunter Farm is open Tuesday through Sunday, and reservations are encouraged. Check out their website for the most up-to-date information for visiting this fall season.

 

Hodges Family Farm

Located just north of Uptown, Hodges Family Farm has been a Charlotte staple for over 100 years! If you decide to visit this working farm, you can expect its popular pumpkin patch, hayrides, barnyard animals, and plenty of delicious treats. Open seven days a week through Halloween, this is one farm you won’t want to miss.

 

Carrigan Farms

This 5th generation farm in Mooresville, NC officially kicks off its fall season on October 1st and will run through October 31st. Though popular for their pumpkin patch and hayrides, what really sets Carrigan Farms apart is their haunted trail! This terrifying trail, known as “Scarrigan Farms”, expands across the 275-acre farm and is open select nights throughout October. Visit their website to learn more.

 

Wise Acre Farms

Wise Acre is a family-friendly farm that features a pumpkin patch, hemp mazes, scavenger hunts, and more. Located in Indian Trail, NC, Wise Acre Farm is also well known for its Wise Pie Pizza Kitchen! Be sure to make a reservation in advance if you’re looking to visit. Availability is now open through November 6th.

 

Aw Shucks Farm

Aw Shucks Farm in Monroe, NC has it all! Fill your day with a visit to the animal barn, an adventure through the corn maze, and a pit stop at the pumpkin market. If you’re feeling cool, you can even reserve a space at one of their bonfire pits to warm up. Feeling a little scary? In addition to their traditional farm, Aw Shucks Farm features The 13th Acre - a terrifying haunted trail that is sure to get your blood pumping!
